Agreement to Terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you") and GritIQ ("we," "us," "our"), operator of the website https://gritiq.in, governing your use of our Android application and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By creating an account or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. These Terms apply to all users, including free and premium subscribers.

Eligibility

• You must be at least 13 years of age to use this Service.
• Users under 18 should review these Terms with a parent or guardian.
• You represent that all information you provide is accurate and truthful.
• The Service is intended for use within India. Access from other jurisdictions is at your own risk.

User Accounts & Responsibilities

When you create an account, you are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• All activity that occurs under your account.
• Notifying us immediately at support.gritiq@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
• Keeping your email address current and valid.

Acceptable Use

You may use GritIQ to:

• Organize your study materials and planners.
• Use AI chat for academic doubt-solving and study guidance.
• Track missions, progress, and Night Audit reviews.
• Receive study reminders via push notifications.

You must NOT:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the app.
• Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access or extract data.
• Upload content that is defamatory, obscene, hateful, or violates third-party rights.
• Share, resell, or sublicense access to GritIQ Premium features.
• Attempt to overload, disrupt, or compromise our infrastructure.
• Use the AI chat to generate content that facilitates cheating in examinations.
• Impersonate any person or entity, including our team.

Violation of the Acceptable Use policy may result in immediate account termination without refund.

AI Limitations & Disclaimer

By using the AI Chat feature, you acknowledge these limitations and agree to exercise independent judgment regarding AI responses.

Subscription Terms

Auto-Renewal Disclosure

Google Play Billing

Subscription Management

• You can cancel your subscription at any time through the app's Account Settings → Subscription, or directly via Google Play.
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain premium access until then.
• We do not offer prorated refunds for mid-period cancellations unless required by law.
• Price changes will be communicated via email and in-app notification at least 30 days in advance.

Free Trial (if offered)

If we offer a free trial, it will convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless cancelled. Trial terms will be clearly disclosed at sign-up.

GritIQ Premium Features

Access to GritIQ Premium features is contingent on maintaining an active paid subscription. If your subscription lapses:

• Your account reverts to the free tier.
• Your data (chats, planners, missions) is preserved for 90 days.
• Premium-only features become inaccessible until subscription is renewed.

We reserve the right to modify the features included in free and premium tiers with reasonable notice.

Intellectual Property

All content within the app — including UI design, branding, original text, and code — is owned by or licensed to GritIQ and protected under applicable Indian and international copyright law.

• You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal study purposes.
• You retain ownership of content you create (notes, planner data, mission entries).
• By using our AI features, you grant us a limited license to process your inputs through third-party AI APIs solely to provide the service.

You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the Service without explicit written permission.

Account Termination

Termination by You

You may permanently delete your account at any time via Profile → Delete Account → type DELETE to confirm. This is a hard delete: it is processed immediately, signs you out of all devices, and removes your account, planner uploads, study data, AI chat history, and tasks. It cannot be undone, subject to limited legal retention requirements (e.g. payment records under Indian tax law).

Termination by Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if:

• You violate these Terms or our Acceptable Use policy.
• We detect fraudulent activity on your account.
• Your account is used to harm, spam, or abuse other users or systems.
• Required by law or a court order.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

• We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
• We are not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of AI-generated content.
• We do not warrant that the Service will meet your specific study requirements or improve your exam performance.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indian law, GritIQ shall not be liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
• Loss of data, profits, or business opportunities.
• Damages arising from reliance on AI-generated content.
• Service interruptions beyond our reasonable control.

Our total cumulative liability to you for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in India.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after notification of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
